What would you say to your boss if he is crazy about an idea, but you think it stinks?:

In my view, “Boss is always right”. If he takes a decision with his vast experience, then I will support him, but if he asks me about my point-of-view on his decision then I will honestly tell him about my own idea of his decision so that he could take a better decision.

Each and everything have its own time to express. As mentioned, your boss is crazy about the idea, you should leave him with his state of mind for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After that surely every boss will ask for the employee opinion, time for you to express it with a proper evidence.

Sir, I know that it’s my duty to follow the orders of my boss which are related to my job but it is also my duty to work of the benefits of my company so, first I will listen to his idea and then I would like to present my view in logical point and other issues that are beneficial for the company.

Going by the saying “The Boss is always right”, I will hold his idea in high regard. But then I will make him understand how that idea is important for the organisation, so to have a deep analysis of pros and cons of the idea with ll the concerned people and ultimately the decisions lies in his hands.

Sir, Today you have this idea. Tomorrow or later on you will see the result. I am here next to you, I just want to warn you this, your idea will hurt your company so deep. You may angry at me now, because don’t respect your idea. But I willing to be a bad person in front of you now, because I am the only one get hurt. It is better than when the day our company fail, we both cry like a baby. I have a better idea, please consider and take it if you agree. If not, I can see what kind of boss you are. And I will wonder if I choose the wrong boss to service.

All employees are hired with the same aim of Company growth and progress so as Managers. And if I feel that idea is not suitable for the situation, I will let him know the gaps in the idea and will share my idea with the positive inputs which can eventually fill the gaps in the idea shared by him and with the mutual understanding the final idea will be created by both of us.
