1.       The Indian bank (RBI) Reserve Bank of India and Japanese (BOJ) Bank of Japan have signed a agreement. The agreement was negotiated during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Tokyo last year. This agreement will provide to India access to 75 billion US dollars against the 50 billion dollars under earlier BSA


Answer.  The name of this agreement is Bilateral Swap Agreement.





2.       India’s (BSF) Border Security Force & (BGB) Border Guards Bangladesh concluded a three-day Exercise 2019 a part of confidence-building. The exercise was held in areas near Srimantapur in Sipahijala district, bordering Comilla district. Objective of this  Exercise is to plan and conduct anti-smuggling & anti-criminal activity related operations with an aim to achieve better joint operational efficiency and border management in both countries.


Answer. The exercise name is  Mainamati Maitree Exercise.




3.       Ten scientists including Dr Deepak Gaur of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and Dr S Suresh Babu of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre were given the Shan Prize for 2017. Thirteen scientists including Dr Amit Kumar of IIT, Delhi and Dr Nitin Saxena, IIT, Kanpur were awarded the Prize.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi conferred the Prizes for the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 in New Delhi.

Answer. This wonderful Prize name is Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize.




4.      Prakash Javadekar has launched a scheme on National Science Day 28th February. It’s an acronym Scheme for Translational and Advanced Research in Science to fund Science projects the scheme will be implemented at the cost of Rs 250 crores. Special thing is IISC will be the coordinator of the scheme.
